Hello There-
Geesh.. Remember Me?
It has literally been a month, and man it only feels like a week has gone by-
I have been up to my eyeballs with a landscaping project, so although I have been squeezing time in to craft, this blog has been neglected for sure.
I am not even going to say that I will be back next week, because at this point: who the heck knows how my week will turn out...

Well so enough apologies, I am sharing a 12x12 layout today that I made for Halloween last year, and I just love it.   I am in love with mists and sequins right now, so they make an appearance on nearly every layout I make these days-
I have also been on a altering kick lately so if something doesn't work for me with a project I make it so it does-

Case in point the title for this page, the word fright was made with puffy alpha stickers that were from a Christmas line, so they were bright red- I made them work by coloring them with a silver sharpie..
Quick fix, and all was good.  I am on a quest to use up packages of bits that I have only a few left of around here, and Alphas are no exception..

I don't buy thickers anymore because of the "What do I do with the left over letters" factor, and really I have enough font options between my alpha dies and my cameo that I can let the little stash of thickers I have dwindle..
I have even considered inner mixing fonts that are the same color to use them up-
So here is my share, I love the banners and the spiders cut with my cameo...
Thanks for stopping by today, and I HOPE to see you soon...
In the meantime, I hope this layout inspires you..

Hello Everyone!!!-
Oh Boy, I've been a BAD blogger... sorry to say with my kids finishing up their school year and Summer here, I have let this little blog of mine get neglected... :(
I thought since I had some quiet time tonight that I would sit and get back in the swing of things.. LOL I hope... It's hard to keep on track like most of you know when the kiddies are home 24/7, but I intend to give it my best effort.
So today's share is of a layout I put together after taking my kids to their 1st College Football game..
Big MSU fans in our family so it was only fitting that this be their 1st game.  They loved it and the weather was amazing; great day to celebrate Homecoming for sure.

I let the photos do most of the taking about the day, and I love adding memorabilia any where I can, so the tickets had to find a place on this page.
Not a huge fan of purple but it was an accent color added on the ticket stub so I went with it..

Great day all around-Well see you next week & thanks for stopping by..

Hello there Everyone-

So sorry for my absence, but things have been so crazy here-
I thought I would share a layout of the 1st day of school last year, since the last day of school for this year is quickly approaching..
I am so looking forward to the summer-

This is a 12x12 layout and if you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I love tags and pockets on layouts-
This pocket like most of my pockets on pages is just a place that I use to ground my layers and its a great place for me to use up little bits of things, tucking them here & there.
I happen to LOVE all things related to school(office supplies) so this layout was so fun for me to put together-
I hope you like it & if you have any questions, just ask and I will do my best to answer them..
Thanks for stopping by

Hello Hello-
Happy May Day!!
I am back with a layout share today- This one is a 12x12 page I made from my son loosing his 1st tooth last summer.
He was a nervous a wreck that the tooth fairy wasn't going to find him in Texas, since he lost it while we were on vacation.  Rest assured she made it just fine, and he was a whole dollar richer in the morning.
This page was really just made with 2 sheets of card stock & a boat load of ephemera, and looks awesome considering it was so basic.
Well, Thanks for stopping by today-
If you have any questions just let me know.
I will be back next week with more...
Have a great day & I hope everyone has a chance to be crafty this weekend celebrating NSD!!..

Hello Everyone-
Well, I managed to have a very productive week.. Yay!
I posted last week that I was going to give a go at using up a few piles of scraps that I couldn't bring myself to part with just yet.
So here is what I came up with-
First up-I made 2 gift tags, 2 wine tags & this butterfly birthday card.
Next- I made 2 masculine birthday cards
And lastly- I made 2 of each of these beauties, the sentiments come from Winnie & Walter's digital cuts & their stamps and the Absolutely is a SSS exclusive die.
I am super pleased with all that I came up with, and it was a really fun challenge.
You can view the video here...
If you have any questions, just let me know..
Thanks for stopping by today-
See you next week-

Good Morning-
Hello Everyone & Happy Wednesday!

Today's share is going to be a little different as I don't actually have anything crafty to share as of yet, but I wanted to pop in and blog about an issue I have with throwing away bits of this & that, more specifically scraps of paper from sheets that I just love..

Please tell me I'm not the only one out there who has left over bits from sheets of paper that they just can't part with, especially knowing full well that I can make something with each and every one of them.  Now I know there are a lot of you out there FREAKING out that I still have these and can't part with them, but I don't do this with every paper.. lol just the ones that I loved the color or design of.  Looking at this photo now though, it's very apparent that I love stripes & circles.. lol

So as you can see from the photo here(the teal cardstock not really what I'm referring too)-but that I have separated these bits into 4 piles, and I am hoping over the next week to make something fun & crafty with each pile- I will feel totally like tossing out what ever is left over after that of course.

Now this could be anything from a layout, card, gift tag, etc-but I am always needing little tags to keep on hand to tie to a last minute gift bag or bottle of wine, so for me this is a win win!!
Also- I really only want to give myself a week, two tops..if I don't set a time limit for myself these piles will sit here for months on my table.. Grrrr :(

I will also be pulling items from my stash of course, but the more I can use from these piles the better-the great part is they are all very gender & themed neutral so I won't have any trouble using what I create for a number of occasions.

Alright, so that's it for now- I will be back with what I come up with soon...Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by today & Have a Great Week!

Hello Hello-
Happy Wednesday Everyone-
Looks like I accidentally let last week pass me by.. Sorry I forgot to blog.. UGH!
My days have been quietly lately so I have no excuse.. lol
I thought I would post today a very recent layout that I completed.. This happens to be a 8.5x11 size and it's from the day my sweet girl got her braces..
I saw this circle background idea and I thought I would change it up a bit & make it cute yet simple.
I titled it " Your New Smile" with the Beautiful die cut from simon says as an extra ..

As usual I added my stamped element, and this one is from Jillibean Soup, the Love This was from one of their newest stamp sets that I picked up over at my Joanns.
Very happy with how it turned out, and the best part-my little princess likes it too!
Would love to hear your thoughts or comments...
Thanks for stopping by today..

Happy Friday Everyone!!
I am sharing a really fun layout that I showed on my YT video last week, and I just love it!
It's from Valentines Day this year, and I scrap lifted this payout layout from Laura Vegas.. Love her stuff.
This layout wasn't hard at all to put together & actually the hardest part was picking the papers that would coordinate with all the different colors in the valentines themselves.
I also used one of my new Favorite products, photo overlays-man I love those things..
I used an overlay from Crate Paper, the DIY collection over my cute photo of my kiddos, and I love the pink & teal hue it gives to my B&W pic.
I used up a bunch of old old product on this page...woot woot!!
I hope you like it!
I will be back next week, I've got some pictures to start taking- honestly that is the one thing that I don't like the most about blog posts..
My craft space is in my basement & there are no windows in my room, so I will wait for a Sunny Day  and take a bunch, and then I will have them ready to go..
Alright so long for now...
Have a Great Weekend!!

Hello Everyone!!
Happy Thursday & today I have a fun card to share with you, it's a card that I have submitted for a guest designer spot to the Paper Smooches Call for April..

I made this card for a friend who has a BIG bday coming up, and I just know he is going to love it!

I used the PS Birthday Buddies stamp set, and I colored the worm in with my markers..

The dirt I made by just cutting some wavy pieces of brown card stock and then I added versa mark to the edges and heat embossed them with my brown embossing powder..Google eyes are a must for this image too...

I hope you like it & check out their fun blog here...
Thanks for stopping by today... See you next week

Hi Everyone!!
I am here today with another layout, this one is a 12x12 share.
I so love the polaroid trend and this was my first real chance to give it a try on a layout.... Love the way it turned out-
This was scrap lifted from a layout I saw online somewhere, but sadly I don't remember where :(
I tend to save pics that I like, and if the photo isn't watermarked I don't remember usually...
I want to try and get better at writing names down if there is one...
Sadly Pinterest stuff sometimes is repined so often that you can't ever find the original post...
But anyways.. back to the layout-
So as I was saying, I saw a very similar idea online and loved it-
I was able to use up a bunch of old stickers & bits that have been sitting around my space for a while...
Woo Hoo!!
I printed my journaling on vellum and put it on the top n bottom of my polaroids, so cute I think
Well, I would love to hear your thoughts
Thanks for stopping by today-

Hello Hello-
Happy Friday Everyone,
I'm back with another layout share, this one is 8.5x11 orientation and I just love it!
So a while back Stampin' Up! had a fun summer DSP collection, and I bought it for some of the pattern papers that were in the collection, never knowing if this cherry paper would ever get used..
I was so happy when we went cherry picking because I was finally able to use up the paper & some OA stickers that were in my stash for a while too.
We had such a fun day & I took a ton of pics, I decided to make a collage of photos.  As you can tell, this layout has very little embellishments, so this one I whipped out pretty quick.
Super Cute... "Cherry-Licious"!
Alright...Well here's wishing you a happy weekend, I will be back next week...
Thanks for stopping by

Hi there Everyone-
I am taking a layout share break to show you a card I re-purposed for a Challenge at You Tube.
Over @ Patty Sandberg's channel she is hosting a repurpose challenge that I knew I had to enter-
I thought I would share with you a little background on this card pictured here:
A while back I would go to craft shows and sell my cards at local churches etc, but I then stopped that & was left with a huge amount of inventory, and I am slowly trying to work my way through my massive stash.
Now I have only a handful of maybe 30 or so cards left, but let's just say in the years that have gone by, styles have changed A LOT!!  I mean I used a Crimper for goodness sakes in this card, when is the last time you have used that tool...? lol
So anyways- my niece's 4th birthday is coming up right around the corner & she loves Ballet, so I thought here's my chance to give this not so great looking card some new life...
So this top picture shows the card before and the middle one shows the card dismantled and ready for a re-do.  I was able to re-use everything except I did toss the crimped paper & the pink, just because I really couldn't get it to work for me..
I was even going to re-stamp the ballet shoes and color them with my markers & then fussy cut and add with some dimensionals on top, but sadly I have since sold that stamp set on ebay...
So onto Plan B which was to do some shading on the image and add some bling & sparkle...
Here is the final card, made into an A1 (rsvp) size and the inside already had a Happy Birthday sentiment stamped so I was good with leaving the outside sentiment free-
I pulled out & added two old patterned papers and that was it.. Way better than the 1st version: I think anyways...
Thanks for stopping by today- Hope you all have a great week!!

Hello there-
I am back today-from beneath the crazy crazy amounts of snow that we have here-literally
with another layout share.
I have to apologize for this picture, the lighting is terrible.. :( I tried fixing it and it just wouldn't work...
So Sorry..
Ok, so I am sharing an 8.5x11 size layout that I made of my son learning to ride his two wheeler, and I have to say it is one of my 2013 Favorites for sure.
I printed my pictures in black & white because I knew that I wanted to use this bright paper collection.
If you have a specific question about what products I used where, I'll be happy to tell you, just send me an email..
Lots of different goodies went into this, and it came together pretty fast-
Well, alright- I'm off to try and stay warm & pray to the heavens above that my kids have school tomorrow.. enough already-really!
Thanks for stopping by today & have a Great Week!

Hello Everyone-
Thought I would share that my January Scrappy Goal is complete!! Woo Hoo!
I used this old set of fabric strips, not even sure what manufacture these are from anymore, but I have been passing over them for at least 5 years.. Not sure why I hadn't gotten rid of them, but I was keeping them around for something... lol

So here is a pic of the strips and then the other pic is of the cards I made with them-
This went super quick and where ever I needed more color or strips I used Washi tape.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches...
Would love to hear what you think...
Hope you are all having a great week!

Hi there-
Happy Early Thursday!-
I meant to post this yesterday but I don't know where the day went ?, before I knew it; it was time for bed..lol
So Anyways, I have this 12x12 layout to share that I made from a race I did last summer, it was so super fun & aside from the bugs, the glow part was Awesome!
I ended up cutting up my badge to stagger the layers & the title was cut from a Kerri Bradford travel file & really there isn't much else that went onto this page except for a few stars.
I think the color combination I picked went perfect with the theme, and I am really happy with the way it turned out.
I would love to hear your thoughts-

Hello Hello-
I hope you have all been having a good week so far.. I am doing a great job at checking some crafty projects off my list this week. Woo Hoo!
Today I'm going to share a 12x12 layout that I made from a trip we took with friends last summer-
Who would have thought that you could bling out a lake page?
I decided to give it a try and I love the end result..
another thing I love is my Cameo-the title "the lake" was cut with my Cameo, and if you can't tell in the picture, these letters were crazy skinny and my Cameo cut them out beautifully... So happy with it!
This layout believe it or not, was probably one of the fastest layouts that I have ever created.. gluing down that skinny title probably took me the longest.
I of course as always, incorporated a stamp on my project and that piece of flair under the #4 was just a piece of patterned paper that I cut into a circle an added an epoxy bubble over top.. Viola'!
I would love to hear your thoughts-
and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me..
Have a Great week
& thanks for stopping by today

My Brave Girl-

Hello Everyone, & Happy Wedenesday, I am back today sharing a layout I made of my sweet girl having surgery last summer.  It was a Crazy Scary day for her for sure, but she did great.
I wanted to make sure I documented it in my 2013 Album, & the journaling talks about how proud I was of her that day.
This was the 1st time I made a layout using Hexagons if you can believe it, this was a huge trend not too long ago, UGH & here is me just doing it... lol FIGURES right?
I also want to mention that this layout is an 8 1/2 x 11 format & it was scrap lifted from a Jen Gallacher layout I saw on her blog a while back.
The papers were from an old Stampin' Up! collection and really this layout came together quick.
I would love to hear your thoughts or comments,
Thanks for stopping by -
Also, if you would like I have a you tube channel that I just posted my Project Life December Daily 2013 video to, you can see it here.. Woot Woot!! I finished the whole year... & I've got to be honest I didn't think I could do it..you tube
Alright- See you next week

Happy New Year!!-

So very sorry for my very long blog break, but man I was busy and like most of us know-December is a killer month to try and do everything...
I have been crafting a ton, and I did get a bunch checked off my to do list for the holidays, and I am super happy about that to say the least.  I am also happy to report that I am printing pics this week to finish up my 2013 project life, and I am so excited for that..
I have loved looking back at the year, and I am so very glad that I decided to do it and that I stuck with it.
I have decided to do PL for 2014 too, I figured I would love to document my 40th year...

And to kick off my 2014, I have picked my One Little Word "Embrace"...

Embrace~40 & this "so called" hill that I am now over, Embrace~that life is messy and that's all there is to it, & Embrace~my art is simply my version of what I believe to be beautiful.....

I will be back with some crafty shares starting next week, and I hope more videos too sharing my PL along the way.

In the mean time, I've got a birthday to celebrate and kids to get back to school(finally-lol)..

So have a great upcoming weekend & check back with me next week...

Hello there-
Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I have a really fun share today of a layout I made for my son's birthday this year..He turned 6 and as you can see on the page, I really accented that fact on the left side of the page.  I kept it very simple and if you really take a look, you will notice that I really only added a few strips of horizontal papers and them my photos and basically that was it.  I love what a big impact that patterned paper has, it's from a million years ago, so I don't even know who made it.. sorry :(

I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and looking at it even now reminds me of what a fun day we had.
Well, we have officially had our first snow here of the season... and it's chilly outside so that will be perfect for crafting my days away all snuggly warm.
I hope you have a Great Week...
See you soon

Hello there-
Happy Hump day my friends,  So sorry I missed posting last week..Crazy busy around here

So today I am sharing a layout I made for father's day 2013 and it was so simple to put together.

Sorry for the awful lighting, I am waiting for a light tent that I ordered online to arrive, because if you have been following me for a while now, you know that I have a craft room with no windows and we live in the woods, so the natural sunlight shining through is minimal..

Anyways, I hope that my photos will improve, I do have a bunch of layouts loaded already in my computer, so from then on.

This is an 8.5x11 layout and I used a 4x6 photo, and I love how simple this layout is, I feel like sometimes the more embellishing you do on a page, the less it is about the photo and the story.
We didn't do much this year, so I didn't journal, but I used a bunch of different elements for my title & sub title instead.
Alright, I've got to go- but let me know if you have any questions..
Thanks for stopping by today

Mother's Day-

Hello there, I am here today with a layout share & this one was a real test.  I purchased that flowered background paper, like 5 years ago - with all kinds of big plans...

Well needless to say those plans failed, terribly.
I kept just passing by that sheet every time I would select paper for a page & then one day a friend said "Hey do you  remember that piece of paper that you were saving for something special?"..

In fact I did remember it and that's when the wheels started turning..
Since honestly I didn't LOVE the paper anymore, I knew that I was going to have to create something that used the entire sheet, because truth be told if I didn't, there was NO WAY I was going back to it.

So I fussy cut out a handful of the flowers and really after backing up the photos a bit and tucking the flowers that I cut here and there, it really turned into a layout that I loved..

I do realize that the picture itself wasn't the greatest, but we were being silly and that's the best my hubby could do.
I finished the page with some mist and gems, and that was it.

And I also made a card with what I had left, You can watch a video about both of these projects over at my you tube channel here.
Thanks for stopping in today, & if you have any questions, just let me know..
See you next week!

Monkey Boy-
Hello there, UGH..looks like Wednesday got past me this week..
Oh my: time is sure flying by'
Well today I am sharing an 8.5x11 layout that I made of my silly son playing on the monkey bars at the park, he loves those things and will literally keep doing them till his hands are sore.
This layout came together in like 30 min, and I scrap lifted this sketch from a Jen Gallacher page she did a year of so ago.  I love how it turned out, and the best part is I used all old pieces of scrap paper to put this together..
I love when that happens, to me using a product completely up is like Christmas, I get to make room for more.. lol
Alright, well thanks for stopping by today-
Have a Great Weekend!

Soccer Stars-
Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having a very productive week, I have been crafting away- and I am getting a ton done with my kids back in school..

Todays share is of a 12x12 layout that I made for the end of the Spring Soccer season 2013, I just collaged a bunch of photos that I had taken from the whole season into a 5x7 size picture.

I kept the most of the paper & embellishments very basic and simple because the base paper made such a statement.  What's funny is that when I bought that sheet (my one & only soccer paper, btw) I thought "Oh this is very busy, but I'll bet it would make a great accent piece somewhere..."

I laughed at how in the end, I used the whole sheet to frame out my focal point.

Alright, I've gotta run -
Thanks for stopping by today-
Have a great week!

Fun in Novi-
Hello Everyone-
Happy Wednesday, I am surprised that I remembered to post here today, geesh-how quick you forget to get back in the swing of things..
Today's layout share is one that I made after an annual trip to Novi for their Mega Meet, what a fun time-
I worked at the Magazine's booth this year doing meet n' greets and I got to personally meet and talk to Jenni Bowlin & Tim Holtz, I was totally memorized to say the least.. Two very talented people & they were very down to earth.  We had a Crazy good time as usual, and I was able to use some of my scrappy goodies on this page.
I hope you like it & if you have any questions please let me know..
Thanks for stopping by today
Have a great Week!!

Our Anniversary-
Hello there, I am here bright & early this morning with another share,
this is an 8.5x11 page and it came together super quick.  I used a piece of white card stock and that piece of chevron vellum as my base, and the rest was made with washi tapes.  I copied this idea from Shawna Webster over at You Tube, she used this concept on a beach inspired layout... I loved it and the colors together, so here is my version.
I have been crafting a bunch and just had a scrappy weekend with a girlfriend, I got all caught up on my Project Life.. Woo Hoo!!
You can watch a video share over at you tube,
If you have any questions about this layout just let me know..
Have a Great Week..

Hello Hello-
I'm back everyone... So sorry for my long absence :(
I hope to be back to blogging regularly with the kiddos finally back to school, I have a share today from way back in March 2013 when my hubby & I went to a pottery place for a date night, it was so much fun, and we both loved doing something that we hadn't done before together.
I know that these photos are horrible but we live in the woods and the direct sunlight around my house is very minimal right now with all the leaves on the trees.  I figure for most people if you do like this layout you are only going to scraplift the actual sketch part, but with that said, most of the products on this page are no longer available to purchase..but if you do have a question about a product that I used, please don't hesitate to ask, I will do my best to answer or try and find out anyways.. :)

Well, alright- I hope you like my share today, I am off for now, but I promise to be back next week, thanks for stopping by and sticking with me...
Happy Thursday & have a Great Weekend..
Happy Crafting-... Melissa

Hey there Everyone-
I'm still here- sorry for my neglect, things are just NUT-SO with my kids home from school and vacations.. :)
I know I promised more crafty shares, I have been crafting, I just need to make the time to take some pics of what I have been working on.. :(
I will make sure and take photos of some stuff tomorrow, and hopefully get something uploaded in the next day or so-
I am super excited about the Summer CHA releases and can't wait to have another one of my covers released as well..
August 4th, is the BIG day- the Michigan Scrapbooker Magazine has a link on Facebook if want to see the big reveal.

I hope you all are enjoying your summer, we have been on the go non stop, literally :)

Alright, enough rambling-I've got to run

Race Day

Race Day-
Hi there Everyone...So Sorry I have been a bad blogger lately, but I am having so much summer fun with my kiddies...
I do have a lot of projects to share, I just need to sit still long enough to photograph them... UGH
I hope to do that this week if the rain stays away long enough :(
Alright, onto the layout-...today's share is a layout I made from one of my hubby's races back in March-
He had a friend from out of town join him, and as you can see from how bundled up my kids are, it was a cold day to ride to say the least.
For this project I was able to use a lot of product that I had hanging around in my stash for a while..but I also used some new stuff..
The bike paper clip & wood veneer are from Studio Calico, and the bike stamp is from a CTMH set that I bought last year.
I am really please with how cute this turned out, if you have any questions just let me know...
Have a Great Holiday Weekend... & Thanks for stopping by...
