Tiny Tigers-
Hi there,  Sorry again for my blogging delay-Crazy busy around here with the end of the school year etc.  Needless to say, I'm here with another 8.5 x 11 layout and as you can see it is of my littles when they did Karate in Feb/March of this year.  They really enjoyed it, and I think I would have kept them in it, but for the price, honestly they have some other stuff on their list that they would like to do...
Which has us now in Soccer...Yikes, man o man it never ends..
As you can see, I kept this layout super simple, with minimal embellishments...and I honestly really really like how it turned out.
The paper collection is an oldie from CTMH, and the stars are just punched with card stock.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask....
I hope you all have a Great Weekend, I will be back soon...
Thanks for stopping by today

Oopsy....Valentine's Day!!
Hi there Everyone-
So sorry I forgot to blog last week.. :(  I guess the week just got away from me..
I have been trying to do like 10 different things, and sadly crafting is coming along slow go :
I am happy to report however that I have started my Project Life album and I am on March already, making some GREAT!! progress, hopefully I will be crafting all afternoon tomorrow.
Well, back to this layout, I had a blast putting this page together, and I was inspired by a layout from one the Two Peas garden girls,
this was one of those pages that took forever to make, but the end result is one that I just LOVE.
This weekend I am heading off to the GLMM and I can't wait... Stay tuned for a (hopefully) massive haul video.. :)
And before I go, I want to send a shout out to all you mom's out there, ENJOY YOUR DAY!, and relax and let your family wait on you hand & foot..
Be back soon..
Have a Great Week

Snow Love-
Hi there Blogger Friends-

Today I am sharing a 12 x 12 layout I made of my kiddos enjoying their 1st day in the snow for 2013, they were out for hours this day making snow angels & having snow ball fights.

I absolutely love how the 1st snow of the season makes them so happy, and there was lots of it, no school this day to make it even better. If you have been following me for a while, you know how much I love stamping on the white space of my photos...
It is by far one of my favorite things to do.. :)
I of course had a lot of white space to work with in these pictures.
This background paper is an oldie from Stampin' Up! and those snowflakes are like velvet, very cool-although I wasn't sure how the mist was going to react to it, and really it worked out great.
I love how playful this layout turned out, totally captured the mood of the day for sure.
Well, as always if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I have been a crafting maniac lately, so I have lots to share.. :)
Thanks for stopping by today-
Be back soon..

My Little Wheel Watcher-
Hello Hello Everyone,
I am sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday....UGH- very crazy day, and so I am here today.. :) Yay!
I would like to start by saying that this is an 8.5 x 11 size page layout, and I made it about my daughter & her current favorite.  This is a love that her and her grandma used to share together before she passed away last summer.  I used the wheel background paper from a clip art that I saw online.
There really isn't much to this layout, it came together super fast & I didn't really use many supplies.
The speech bubble is from Simon Says stamp & the let's play is from a paper smooches stamp set.
So with that I am off... If you have any questions just let me know,
I am scrapping this whole weekend, so hopefully I get a bunch done.
Thanks for stopping by today..

Happy Birthday to Me!!-
Good Morning, Happy Wednesday...I was on vacation last week, and boy did we have fun.
Sunny Florida, was just what we needed to chase away the winter blues, and we had just the best time spring break'n it with the rest of the midwest.. Literally every single person we ran into along the way was from Michigan... :)
The layout I am sharing today is one I created for my bday this year in January, and it was scraplifted from a layout that one of the garden girls at two peas made.  I love their daily videos, so many really great ideas.
I used an app called pocket booth on my phone to take these quick shots of us being silly, again I will mention that we didn't do much this year, as we were all coming off of illness and surgery.
But nothing makes me smile more than seeing these beautiful faces being silly for the camera,
such a great memory.
I love the end result, ..
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
Thanks for stopping in today,
see you next week :)

Bowling Fun-
Hello there, I am sharing an 8 1/2 x 11 layout today, this was actually made for a challenge that I participated in over on You Tube.  This project was so fun to create, and I love those speech bubbles.

I cut the bowling title and embellishments with my Cameo, and the stars were cut with my Stampin' Up! punches & dies.  Super simple and I love how playful it is.

Thanks for stopping in today & if you have any questions just let me know..
See You soon

Hello 2013-
Hi there Everyone, I am posting today my cover page for my 2013 Family Album, and I have to admit it is one of my all time favorites.  It took me a bit of time for sure, but totally worth the end result.  I saw this concept in an older Scrapbooks etc. mag with butterflies, but I wanted to recreate it with hearts, which was inspired by the photograph I took of my daughter's hands.  Now I can't remember who made the original layout sadly, but kudos to them for doing such an amazing job that I had to scrap lift it ASAP.
To start with I made my own background paper with strips of different pp that I just numbered and put back together.  The hearts are a mixture of wood veneers and Cameo cuts and sequence added in for sparkle.  I love it, totally perfect way to bring in a new year.
Would love to hear your thoughts, ,,,
See you next week and thanks for stopping by today..
Happy Weekend!!

Happy New Year...-
Hello Everyone!, I am stopping in today to post my last layout for 2012...Wow time flies.., I kept this page really simple and only added a handful of details.
The title is from a KBS cut and most of the embellishments are from Amy Tangerine.
Let me know if you have any questions...?
I hope you have a good rest of the week, and thanks for stopping by today.

Hello Everyone!!-
So Sorry for my absence last week... I actually did do a layout posting but it was too You tube... You can see it here if you like.  I am working and scrapping like crazy- and I am getting really caught up.. {Happy Dance...}
Today I have another Christmas layout, I typically do two layouts a year for xmas and in Dec. 2012, I also completed my first December Daily.. It turned out so cute.

This layout was the 1st page where I added the sequential numbers to represent different photos and events.. I love all the fun elements that I was able to use with this page.
Well I am going to run for now, but let me know if you have any questions..
Thanks for stopping by today !

Hello there-

I have a fun share today, this is of a 12 x 12 layout that I made from some fun had on Christmas day.
I used some old chip board snowflakes that I painted a teal color as well as painting some SC wood veneer snowflakes the same color.  I added lots of sequence and sewed that piece of vellum onto my background paper.  I added a few stickers and some AE stamped images and that was it really.
The title is from a Kerri Bradford freebie from last December..
I totally LOVE how this page turned out.
Below you can see a close up of the veneers and after the paint dried I did end up adding some silver glimmer mist.

Crazy Cute!!!
If you have any questions just let me know..
Thanks for stopping by

Hello there-
I have a really fun post to share with you today... I have a card that I entered in a challenge over at the Paper Smooches blog..
This is a fun card I made for my little niece who has a birthday next week, and she loves animals.
The set I used to create this card was the Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set, and I also used my cameo to cut the tree.
I would love to hear your thoughts...?
Thanks for stopping in today..

Happy Birthday Daddy!!-

Hello there... I have a very special layout share for you today, my hubby turned the BIG 40 back in December, and we had fun day celebrating with him.  He had to work a bit of the day, but we lived it up later and went to dinner.  Now I did end up scrap lifting this layout from a smaller version that I put in my december daily which you can see here, but I changed the color scheme quite a bit.

I did something different in this layout, as I added two separate spots for my journalling.  I wanted to make sure and take note of the fact that my kids were trying to put bunny ears on their daddy, and their arms weren't quite long enough... lol

I used my Cameo to cut the title and the circle and the love this arrow is from a digital SC kit class that I purchased a while back.

Well I hope you like it, and if you have any questions- just let me know...

Thanks for stopping in today...
See you next week..

Booking Signing...
Woo Hoo- Happy Wednesday, I just finished a great workout and some cleaning and I am now sitting down to blog... :)
Today's share is of an 8 1/2 x 11 layout that I made of the day we went to see the author of the Wimpy Kid books...My daughter loves that series and was super excited for this day.
To get the big image of the book, I just put it in my scanner and then printed it on copy paper.
I love how fun this layout is, and to me it has tons of energy.  You know how much I LOVE arrows...
well the arrows on this page were cut with my PTI dies and I used some black foam that I had in my stash and ran it through my big shot...Cuts just beautifully
Just a few other bits here and there, and this layout was done.. super quick
Alright I have got to run, busy day for me today....
See you soon

My Voice...

Hello there bloggers, Happy Wednesday to you!! I am here today with another layout share from a page I did back in November.  This is an 8 1/2 x 11 size layout and it is my real first attempt at being artistic with my photograph.

I have always liked the look of photos on a page that have a main focal point and then let's say in this instance the subjects face only half showing.  I chose to crop this photo so that you could only see a bit of my face, having my "I Voted" sticker be the highlight.. :)

Now this was not a small task for me, I am an old school scrapper, and till about 5 yrs ago, I only used 4x6 pics and never cropped them down really... So to have an image like this on a page, let's just say, I've come a long, long way since then.

This layout used only minimal scraps of paper, and I used my Cameo to cut the title.  The stamp on this page is the "a picture is worth a thousand words" sentiment, and it's from the say cheese too stamp set from Lawn Fawn.. Love it!!!
I am going to post it in their gallery today :)
So I would love to hear your thoughts... & I hope you are all having a great week.. I hope to be back with a card share in the next couple days, but who knows, ?  These snow days that we have been having have set my week all off....
Back soon Friends...

Hello Everyone-
Happy Wednesday...Here today with a layout share that I finished up that same scrappy weekend back in November, and this happens to be my daughter's bday..
She is such a cutie, and I am so pleased with how this layout came together, I used the color blocking technique that I have been seeing a lot lately.  This was really a bunch of fun to put together, and I think all the sequence gives it a ton of energy..
Love Love..
Would love to hear your thoughts?
And as always if you have any questions, just let me know..
Thanks for stopping in today..
See you next time

Hi there-
Thanks for stopping by today, I am super excited about today's share...I finally completed one of those layout scenes, that I have been wanting to try forever...I love the way this page turned out, and I hope to do another one with maybe a bit more detail in 2013.
It did take me a ton of time, dealing with the placement and size of all the elements, but that being said, I am hooked on what a statement it makes to a page.

I was truly in inspired by a fellow blogger, Nichol Magouirk, she puts together some amazing scene layouts... You can visit her blog here..
And Kerri Bradford, who also puts together amazing pages.. You can visit her blog & online store here.
I posted a You Tube video about this layout, describing it in more detail here.
I would love to have you as a subscriber...
Well, I will be back next week...
Thanks
Melissa

Hello Blogger Friends-

I hope your new year is off to a good start... :)
I am still sharing layouts that I put together in November at the scrap weekend I hosted...
This is another 8 1/2 x11 layout and it is chalked full of pictures, one of the things I love about doing this, means that I don't have a ton of room leftover for embellishments, which could potentially take away from my photos.  I like that the focus is almost 100% about the pics & the story I am trying to tell.

I also kept the journalling to just a few words, as I felt the photos pretty much spoke for themselves.
I used my Cameo to cut the title and the arrows were made from PTI dies.  That pumpkin is a stamp from Stampin' Up!, and the I {heart} this stamp is from a CTMH set.
Super simple... :)
Alright, I will be back next week, if you have any questions, just let me know...
Thanks
Melissa

Hi there-
Happy New Year Everyone!!!...
I first need to start off by saying that I caught the flu bug on Christmas Eve, and have been battling ever since...UGH- I can honestly say that I have never ever had this kind of illness before and I don't ever want to again for that matter.

So I decided since I still have 5 days left to finish up with my December Daily, that I would just stop in today with a layout share from this past fall.  I made this layout in record time, and it's an 8 1/2 x 11 size and I finally used a technique that has been on my to do list for some time now.

I made my title "At the Patch" using my negative space from my die cut, and really it was that quick.  As you can see the only other embellies are really just buttons and twine.
I have lots more to share with you in the weeks ahead, and I hope with this flu almost gone I can get back to crafting.  I haven't crafted a thing or touched a single piece of cardstock since Christmas Eve,  :(

Well, thanks for stopping in today, I hope to keep making my regular Wednesday posts, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask..
Thanks Again
Melissa

Hi there Everyone-
I am stopping in today to post a few cards that I made for my hubby to give to his co-workers.  These were cased from cards that Jen Gallacher did for her Christmas card series 2012..
I unfortunately didn't have any of the product that she used for her cards, but this just goes to show you that you can use what you have and make your own versions of what you like.

Here is the link to Jen's You Tube channel, she does some really amazing work, and we have a lot of the same styles, even for scrapbooking layouts.
You can view the little video I made showing these cards here.

Well, I would love to hear your thoughts, I hope to be back Friday with a December Daily update..
Probably will do it via you tube, you can subscribe to my channel so you don't miss it..
See you guys next week for more blog shares..
Thanks for stopping by today.

Hi there-
So here is a fun page I put together from our day at the pumpkin patch this year, my kids love this place, and we never leave without some of their homemade & super delicious doughnuts.. Yummy!

This is an 8 1/2 x 11 size layout, and I used the negative space from the title, and I have to admit, I have only done this technique one other time before, and I don't know why- I really really like it.

This was a very fast layout to put together, just a couple of photo mats and a handful of buttons, etc.
I would love to hear your thoughts?

I also posted my beginnings of a December Daily that I started this week, it's coming along great and you can check it out over at you tube here.
Thanks for stopping by today, I will see you soon..
Have a Great Week!

Thursday, November 29, 2012

Hello Everyone-
Sorry this post is a day late, busy ... busy... around here- as most of you know, getting ready for Christmas is insanity.. lol
Today's share is of a 8 1/2 x 11 page that I put together with a coupon page protector that I purchased from Staples... Love to change it up all the time in my albums..
I feel like having a bunch of variety makes my album 100x more interesting to look at.

So these images are shots of the front n back, and all I did was print my photos and crop them down a bit.  I used a leaf punch at the title and the family was cut from a Kerri Bradford digi image.
I love how this turned out, and if you would like to see another similar layout I did, you can watch my video..here
Well, thanks for stopping by today....
I will see you soon..
Thanks
Melissa

Hello there-
So Sorry for my absence but I was busy with Thanksgiving and house guests since last Tuesday...
We had such a fun time, and Black Friday shopping was a HOOT as usual.  I am pleased to say that I am 90% done with my xmas shopping, and after Cyber Monday tomorrow, I will be closer to 99%...Yay!
So I'm stopping in with a share today, of the thank you cards I made for my daughter, these were what she mailed out last week.
They were a tiny bit time consuming, but I really love how they turned out...
The cream is stamped with a grey ink and a Stampin' Up! background stamp,
the "Thank You" was cut out with a SU Sizzix font, finished off with a bit of turquoise sequence, washi and some pink glimmer mist that I added with a dropper.
At first I wasn't sure about the color combo, I am really happy with the finished look, cute, right??
Well, I am signing off for now, but I will be back Wednesday with a layout share from my scrappy weekend..
Thanks for stopping by.

Fun Times-
Hello there...I have a super fun share for you today - this is a layout I put together from a race that my sister & I did back in September.  We had such a good time, and although it was tough, we made it to the finish line.  As you can see in the photos: we are a muddy mess, so this layout wouldn't be complete without brown mist sprayed all over the 12 x 12 piece of red card stock.  Those stars on the layout are wood veneers from Studio Calico that I inked black, and title was cut with my Cameo.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask..
I will have lots more to share next, I scrapping all weekend with girl friends...
Fingers Crossed I get a bunch of layouts done..
Have a Great Week!

Happy Wednesday!-

Hello Everyone!

I am here!! I almost didn't remember to blog today, but yay!! if didn't slip my mind after all..
For today's share, its a 12 x 12 layout that I made for our 2012 family book, the layouts I shared previously were of each separate child's day and will go in their school books, this one is for them both.
I am really getting my monies worth out of the Tim Holtz file tab die that I bought a while back, love it!!
I was able to use up a bunch of embellies that I have had in my stash for ages..
I used my cameo to cut the title and a bit of chalkboard washi tape accents here and there.
I would love to hear what you think...?
Thanks for stopping in today-
Be back next week..

Hello there-

I hope you all had a great Halloween :)
We had a fabulous day, and my kiddies were wiped out to say the least...
I didn't make it in yesterday with my regular Wednesday share, but here it is today- it's another school layout, and I just love it!
At the time that I made these layouts surprisingly I didn't have any school stamps really, so I had to settle for stamping that apple on the top.  Next year however, I will be ready to go, I've purchased a handful of back to school stamps that have come out recently and I can't wait to use them.
This layout was super easy to put together, and I used mostly stickers and some simple stories papers.
Well, I hope you have a great week, I've got to run for now- I'm crafting today, getting ready for my little girls bday coming up.
Be Back soon...!
thanks

Hello Blogger Friends-
So Sorry for my lack of post yesterday, I was just way to busy to even sit for a second :(
But I'm popping in today with a 12 x 12 layout share that I did of my son's 1st day of Kindergarten.
He had mixed feelings this day, but after the day was over and he was back home, it turned out to
be ok afterall..
I used my Cameo to cut the title, and a Simple Stories sticker sheet & journal cards to complete this page.  It came together super quick.  I added to dimensionals to the owl sticker and used my Stampin' Up! bird/branch punch to add that little twig he is sitting on.
The metal globe resting on the "N" is from TPC as well as the school bus under the top left photograph.
Well, I hope you like it, I have other school layouts to come, I made one for each of my kiddies books and one of them together for our family book.

Thanks for stopping in today, Have a Great Week Everyone!

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

HI there-
Thanks for dropping in today, I have a 12 x 12 layout to share with you - and truth be told it is one of my favorites.. :)
I scraplifted this layout concept from an old Jennifer McGuire page I saw in a magazine, I love the colors and the simplicity of this page.  I used my Cameo to cut the hearts and the title was done with HL thickers.
Could not have been easier to put together, love these pages.. don't you?
Well, I hope you like it, and if you decide to give it a try, please share your version with me..
See you next week, and Happy Wednesday!

Hello Everyone-
Today I'm sharing a layout that I made from our annual Road Trip Vacation 2012..
What a Super time we had, I wasn't going to take still photos of this layout, because well let's face it, I am photo challenged with not having the right tools for the job at my house here, and having to leave something in it's page protector just makes things that more difficult.
But as you can see, I did anyways-but I also filmed a little video showing it better (I think)...?
I had so fun making this layout, it really let me relive all the fun times we had.
Well if you have any questions, as always feel free to ask away.. :)

Till next week, when I'm back with another layout, I wish you a GREAT! week...
Thanks for stopping by today

I would love to hear you thoughts, and if you have any questions, just let me know..
