When all else fails "Impovise" :)-
Hi there, just thought I would share with you, a little bit of craft knowledge today.. I was on a quest this morning to pick up some buttons that looked like "Aged Copper", and to my dismay, no such luck... Instead I found some "Silver" buttons that I was able to make look like "Aged Copper", just by rubbing them in my Brown Stazon Ink...
Sometimes I just love remembering the little things...
So tip for today "Think outside the box, and Don't panic"
Be back soon!

Morning Bloggers-
Happy Tuesday to you! Sorry to have been away so long, it has just been crazy around here-between sickness and Serena's birthday celebrations...We have been on a roller coaster ride this past week. Thought you might like to see a new little craft I decided to try yesterday... That's right, I bought some yarn at Joanne's and Viola', I am on a mission to make myself a scarf...this is what I accomplished yesterday.. :)))
I have always wanted to take lessons, which I still plan on doing btw, but I saw this episode the other day of "She's Crafty", and thought, "How hard could this be"?????...
I do have a lot on my plate right now, so lets just see if I can stay focused..
Wish me luck...
Bye for now... but, I will be back soon.. :)))

Happy Birthday Masculine-
Happy Hump Day Everyone! Today I have a fun share... I have been dying to try this and I finally got my hands on one of those Spellbinder dies, this one happens to be the scalloped rectangle. I ran it through by Big Shot, you can click here for a "How To" video, it was very informative. This die here is the biggest one, measuring 3x6 perfect for using with SU small open-end envelopes. With this Happy Birthday card, I made it like a postcard, so I just decorated the front and the back will have my message. I wanted it to look kind of like a banner, I think I achieved that look??? I am thinking about making my xmas cards this year like this postcard type???We'll see :)
Well, I am sure you are all busy getting ready for the Haunting Holiday this weekend...
I can't wait to post some pics...Stay Tuned :)

Hi there-
I have a fun post to share with you today..
Recently on the Martha Stewart show she had a featured guest named Jodi Kahn, you can see the video clip here. After watching the video I checked out the book at my local library and got started...Here is what I came up with-this one is "The Original No Sew tote"...Isn't it the cutest? If any of you decide to try this yourself, I would love to hear your feedback and see your projects...Hope you have a Wonderful day!!!
Morning-
Thought I would share this quick bag I put together for one of Serena's classmates yesterday. She has their b-day party this afternoon, nothing like waiting till the last minute, right? This bag could not have been easier, & I really like the pipe cleaner on top for an added swirly. Well, I am still hanging out in my studio this morning for a bit, so maybe I can put something else together. Hope you have a nice and relaxing Sunday.. :)

Hi there-
Sorry I have been away so long, just a ton of stuff going on right now. Here is a page that I put the finishing touches on this morning..I have to admit that it took a bit longer than I hoped to finish it, but I think it turned out good. I stitched all of the letters for "Stitch",and then I ran the page through my sewing machine and added zig zag stitches around all of my centered pieces. And to finish it off, I ran a piece of pink ribbon through the machine at the end...
How do you think it turned out??
I was going to start adding hearts & band aids, but started to get the feeling that enough was enough.. :)
Be back soon!

We had a super time this day, and if it weren't for the 30 degree temps that day, we might have never left... Yummy!

Sparkling Michigan Apple-
Morning Bloggers- Happy Saturday! I have a quick share for you, courtesy of my daughter's teacher. Serena came home with a Homework assignment this week, and the task was to use an apple to come up with a cute project. Well, after discussing with Serena, I asked her what she thought that we could work on, and this is what she decided to do. We took some ModPodge and a paint brush and coated the apple, leaves and all...Then just started sprinkling..We did do the leaf part first and then let it dry before we moved onto the apple...Well, the apple is due on Monday, so I can't wait to see what Teacher thinks.. ???
What about you?

Fun Favor-
Hi there- Here is a fun project that would be so Great as a Thanksgiving favor..Who wouldn't want to see this little box of goodies sitting on their place setting, right? This is a match box that I put together myself before Stampin UP! came out with their Big Shot die cut. My version holds 4 Hershey nugget candy bars, which I wrapped with scrap pieces of paper.

Hi there-
Happy Hump Day Everyone!! Today's share is another project I put together for this weekend. I have never made these before, so I was having fun experimenting yesterday with all of the possibilities. Very Easy & So Quick..two of my favorite things.. :) Here are just some notebooks that I purchased at Staples, I took 2 sec. to remove the spiral binding before I covered the front for a more finished look. The rest was just playing with some scrap pieces of retired DSP from SU.. These notebooks here are 4x6, so for me they are the perfect size to tote around with. I think that they will make Great teacher gifts or stocking stuffers.. ???
Well, stay tuned- I will have more to share soon..

Morning Bloggers-
I hope you are all having a nice weekend so far, I know I am aside from the rain, we are enjoying some much needed quiet time. I have a fun share today and I hope you like it...It all starts with last weekend when I posted that my "Girls Weekend" was a HUGE success and that we happened upon a store here in MI that I had never been to...the "Carol Roeda Studio"-Love it!!! I know I have already said that, like 100x.. :)

So with that being said, my dear friend Michele thought it would be fun to buy each of us girls one of these fun black scalloped frames and since we were all about taking pictures Saturday night, I was very anxious to get my out of the packaging and put to good use.
Now the store does have a ton of embellies that you can purchase to decorate their frames, but us girls decided to just use our Scrappin supplies and go nuts with what we have. This is what I came up with and I hope M&J love my version. xox

I used my Big Shot and die cut a couple flowers with a button added to the center then adhered the flowers with a glue dot to the little circle magnets that the frame comes with. I then used my new Quickutz font "SuperMarket" and cut friends and adhered those letters onto a piece of leftover packaging from one of my Big shot dies (like thick acrylic), then cut around that and adhered it to 2 magnets. So CRAZY simple.. Let me know what you think???
Have a Super Day!

Morning-
Happy Tuesday! So here is a fun post-I have been going through the kids closets, and low and behold stumbled upon this shirt that Serena has hardly worn, as it has had a huge stain on it since like the 1st day she wore it. :(
I have a couple of tried and true stain removal tricks and nothing would work, So in an effort to give this shirt some new life, I added some of my die cut fabric to front over the stain, and I just love the end result. Very Cute!!! & the best part is that she loves it too! :)

This could not have been easier and it took all of 20 minutes...
I hope you all have a super day!
Thanks for stopping by :))

Well, Hello there-
I apologize for being a BAD blogger, but I have just had a ton going on...UGH!!!!!! I am still trying to get into the "back to school" groove-takin' a little longer than I thought.
So this weekend was Girls Only weekend, and man o' man did we have fun! Unfortunately, this was one of the few times that our get togethers did not include Crafting. :( We managed to make do with lots of shopping instead..FUN!! FUN!! FUN!!
This being said, brings me too my share...While we were out and about, us girls stumbled upon by far one of the Best stores that I have ever been too.
It is called the "Carol Roeda Studio", and this picture here is just a sampling of some of the cool things they sell. This is the front of their business card...Did I already mention that I LOVE this place..I can not wait to go back. I will have a post in the next few days of what I put together with some of the goodies bought here. If you have a chance visit this website and check them out...
Well, I hope all of you are having a nice Monday..
Be back soon!!! Thanks for being patient.. :)))

Ok so I couldn't sleep yet again..I guess too much about the Twilight series on my mind..I was up at 4:30 this morning finishing up the last 100 pages...Wow kind of a predictable story, but I loved it all the same. I have book club this week, so I am hoping to dive right into that selection. I hope I have time before Thursday to at least put a dent in it.. Wish me luck- I have a lot going on..
Have a Super day!

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Morning-
Happy Sunday! Well,I spent a bit of time yesterday scrappin and thought I would post a share...So awhile back I had the idea to make a school book of all my daughter's 1st days of school and thought how fun it would be to look back and see then in 15 yrs, when she is finishing up her last year of college(fingers crossed). I also decided to add her class pictures(teacher & classmates) to this book, I will have that share later today or tomorrow of what I come up with.
I picked up this red 12x12 album at my local craft store and decided to take advantage of the window cut out and use that as my "So called" title page. Generally anytime I start a new album I always have a title page, and this time I thought why not put that in the window and then just dive right into her 1st day. There is also a small pocket at the very end of this book, where I hope to one day tuck a little note. :) This sheet of stickers was also a fab find and I hope you like what I came up with so far to do with them...

Here is my title, I used my new Quickutz Aquarius font, purchased Crazy cheap off of ebay..

I then added one of the Apple stickers that I backed up onto cardstock and then cut out to the spine of the album..I got this Great idea from a Super Great Scrappin Girlfriend, I used my Crop-A-Dile and set and eyelet and then used a chain to hang it off the side. I have it done it yet, but I plan on putting Serena's name on the apple with stickers or something... Last- you will see the page I put together for her VERY 1ST day of Preschool 2 yrs. ago, Isn't she just the cutest??? :)
Well, enough for now, I am back off to scrap some more.. Hope you all have a Wonderful Day!

Cookies for the Fire Dept.-
Hi there Everyone- Happy Friday! thought I would take a couple of minutes for a share...
1st is the picture of my son at the Fire house yesterday.. My darling daughter thought it would be nice to bring the firefighters who came to help her the other day some fresh baked cookies... Which they were very grateful for btw..
Anyway- C just LOVED all the trucks and the lights..He really enjoyed himself. :)

I also have to share the cards I made for my realtor who wanted some cute "Thank You"s to give to her clients. I just know that she will love them and the Cool part of these little gems, is that I used real paint chips that I picked up at Lowe's. I heat embossed the houses on the paint samples and then just cut them to size. I think it is a nice extra touch for someone who just moved into a new house.. :)
Whatcha' Think? Super Cute right??
Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon. :)
